Understanding Manager and Account Manager Permissions
Manager and Account Manager roles in Terminal 49 provide enhanced permissions beyond standard user access, giving designated team members the ability to perform administrative functions and manage integrations.
What Can Manager and Account Manager Roles Do?
The following capabilities require account manager permission:
User management: Add, remove, and manage team members' access to your Terminal 49 account (requires Account Manager permissions)
Data source integration: Add login credentials for external data sources to enhance your platform capabilities
Administrative control: Access to account-level settings and configurations
How to Manage Team Members
Invite a New User
After logging in, click your name at the bottom-left
Select Invite User
Enter the user's name and email, then send the invite
The invited user will receive an email to accept and will gain access once accepted
If they didn't receive the invite, use Resend Invite to send it again
Cancel a Pending Invite
Click the delete button next to the pending invite in the user management interface
Remove an Existing User (Deactivate)
Click your name at the bottom-left and select Invite User
Click the red minus button next to the user's name to deactivate their access
You can re‑activate a deactivated user later by clicking the green plus button next to their name
Note: All user management functions require Account Manager permissions. If you don't see the "Invite User" option, you may not have Account Manager permissions assigned to your account.
Managing Data Source Credentials
One key capability of Manager/Account Manager roles is the ability to add login credentials for various data sources. For example, you can add your company's Maersk credentials to automatically retrieve Last Free Day (LFD) data directly from Maersk within Terminal 49.
This integration capability allows your team to access consolidated information from multiple sources without needing to log into separate platforms.
Upcoming Administrative Features
Manager and Account Manager roles are designed to provide access to additional administrative features as they become available. Future enhancements may include the ability to add custom fields to store unique container information specific to your business needs.
Security Best Practices for Role Assignment
The permission system is designed to maintain security and control over sensitive administrative functions. Only assign Manager or Account Manager roles to trusted team members who need access to user management and data integration capabilities.
