List of different request number types for creating tracking requests in T49:

Master Bill of lading (MBL)- is a document issued by a carrier, and it represents the contract of carriage for the goods. It usually starts with a 4-digit Ocean Carrier Prefix.

Examples: MAEU226218467, CMDUSGN1798791, EGLV236300140503.

Booking Number - is a unique reference number that is assigned to a certain space reservation by the carrier or the carrier’s agent. It usually doesn't start with 4-digit prefix.

Examples: 5951743000, N360167225

Container Numbers - is a sequence of four letters and seven numbers that help identify containers internationally. Tracking by container number is only supported via Terminal49 API and email upload.
Examples: MSKU1095840, SUDU6039436, SUDU6684260

Note: Tracking by container number may return information from a previous journey or provide incomplete or outdated updates for the current shipment.

For more accurate tracking, we recommend using the bill of lading or booking number whenever available. These references are specific to the shipment and generally provide more complete and accurate tracking data.
