Unified Events View

Last updated: May 11, 2025

The Unified Events View allows users to access and monitor events from different data sources. These include AIS, terminals, steamship lines, and rail carriers. By consolidating information into a single place users can efficiently track and manage containers, ensuring streamlined workflows and enhanced visibility.

Events Explained

Transport Events (Top-level events)

Transport events are normalized and verified to provide a more refined, accurate, and standardized view of a container's journey. These are the events that go to our system, and we send them through API/Webhook. When you click on a transport event, you'll usually see multiple cargo shipment events listed underneath them. The one with the green check is what is used to create the top-level event.

Failed Transport Events

These events are filtered out because we detected there may be an issue with the data. The event was not used to update any timestamps or send any API notifications, and it will not show up in the 'transport_events' array in the APl. If you believe this is an error you can use the yellow 'Report Issue' button at the top right of the shipment's page to report it.

Estimated Events

These are the events that are still subject to change. Some estimated events have an available cargo shipments event, while others don't have one yet but are expected to be received.
